My name is Katey and I live in San Francisco. I like making things. I studied Product Design at Stanford and now work doing design for a consumer electronics company. Craftworkbook is where I put things I make outside of work, things that are not made of sheet metal and plastic.

Virginia has been writing about design and architecture since 2000, for publications such as Dwell, Metropolis and The New York Times. She lives in Europe and works on an at-large basis. This fall she will begin a graduate program in industrial design at the Royal College of Art in London.
